"Friends Til the End" is an amazing read. It was written by author Janet Fitch, loosely based on her own life experiences. I think that she has really captured the lives of these two children in a way that allows the reader to relate to them. From beginning to end, "Friends Til The End" is heart-warming and will have you laughing one minute and crying the next!
The novel's main character is Jordan Ederle who has always lived with her brother Peter since their parents died when they were young. They live in a town called Glenwood Springs. Jordan and her friend, Katie, were in a little league baseball team together when they made the All-Star Team. Jordan’s mother was a soccer girl and Julie is a great soccer player.

Jordan's mother was very good at soccer. Her name was Mary Ederle. She died after she got cancer by accident when Jordan was 11 years old. Jordan's father's name is Ned Ederle and he worked at Glenwood Police station until he retired 4 months ago because of an accident on the job. He died 5 years before the book takes place.
Peter seems to be good at everything he does, but Jordan is really good at soccer and baseball. Her best friend is Katie. Here's a sample paragraph from the story: Jordan and Peter were walking down the street when they saw a dog tied up to a wagon with blood all over it outside of Mary Ederle’s home. Mary was Jordan’s mother. Jordan went inside and called out, “Theresa! What happened?” Theresa was her next door neighbor and she lived there with her husband and her son, Thomas and Tony. Mary got cancer when Jordan was 11 years old. Then she died when she was 20 years old. When Jordan and Peter saw the dog tied up outside Mary’s home, it looked like he was bleeding from the head.
Jordan and Peter walked over to Theresa and Thomas and Tony. They were laughing and having a good time inside of their home while Jordan kept asking, “What happened?” They kept saying, “The dog fell out of the wagon after we were driving down the road. He got hit by a car! I guess that’s why he was bleeding from his head.” Theresa had gotten soaked in blood while she was trying to stop her son from following her husband who was driving the wagon with the open gate to carry the dog outside.
